Beau’s Study of Meditation

13 May

BEAU SPEAKS ABOUT HIS RUMINATIONS OF MEDITATION

Beau The Cephus has conjured up old thoughts and ruminations of former ideas about meditation and stress relief that he wishes to offer for your consideration. I, Langston, have been selected and called forward to relate this release of concerns by Beau The Cephus for humanity.

Beau has often worked for many hours without sleep or release of stress. He may work for an extended stretch for as much as .034 hour at a time without any rest and only a few blinks of each eye. When he endures these long stretches of time he needs to rest and reduce his stress. He has often noticed that his needs are very similar to those of many stressed out humans. As unlikely as it may seem, he has also noticed that some of the same techniques are employed to aid in the methods used to achieve normalcy and provide a cleaning of the mental processes of the mind. Beau’s study in this field will be published next month in the highly respected “Journal of Feline/Human Psychology and Psychiatry”. He wishes to now make these ideas available to the non medical professionals among his audience. He will publish this extraction in language as plain as his Mother (The Famous “Oracle”) used for him when he was just a kit.

DR. BEAU THE CEPHUS

The Cephus has often thought about Human Meditation and the relationship that it shares with the fine art of kneading that many of the feline population share. Beau thinks that the art of kneading has and shares many of the human traditional positions used in meditation. Granted the Feline position is different because of the different non shared bone/joint/muscle structures. Felines and humans do not share all positions for these reasons. Aside from those physical difficulties when the Cephus kneads he will often use a sitting position with both front legs extended in front of him with his paws sprayed out and use a small short pawing action. The human will sit much in the same position with their arms extended out to the side holding their hands out and forming a connection between the thumb and the middle digit. The Cephus will also create a chest sound of purring while the human will repeat an oral sound over and over. He has noticed that the human will often close both eyes while meditating. The Feline will usually have the eyes open. When the feline gets deeper into the kneading/meditation the feline will also close his eyes. With in that deep meditation the sounds of both the human and the feline may be lower and quieter. When placing a hand on the chest of either the feline or the human, at this stage there will be strong vibrations felt. That part of the meditation seems to provide the most help in replacing the bad effects of stress. There will be a cleaner and more pleasurable experience. Beau thinks that this motion of the human and feline returns them back to their womb and nursing days when all was safe, warm, and relaxed.

Beau finds when he is home on the Dry Tortugas siting alone in an isolated room late in the evening, he produces his best kneading. He can often sit within his Beau Bag and kneed for a very long time. When he gets deep into the kneed, time will fly by and he will awaken still kneading alone in the twilight of the sun setting over the water. When he has a less than favorable day, he may kneed for hours on end. He will even admit that it is very trance like.
Beau states that his Beau Bag makes his meditation so easy. He will often end with a short nap still within the bag. Beau says that one must have an empty stomach to meditate properly. The area must be just a touch cool. With out these conditions, The Cephus will drift off into sleep before receiving the benefits of feline meditation.

BEAU CONCENTRATING ON KNEADING IN BEAU BAG

After a long session of kneading Beau will go out onto the sea wall and look for small crabs or unsuspecting fish near the surface of the water. His plan is to play with them as entertainment for a while. There are those times when he gets into his play action with so much vigor that he will become obsessed with the back and forth battle. He will often end up eating his play thing. When he has finished his snack he will regret and promise never again. Such is the extent of enhanced play in the evening sunset.

BEAU DEEP INTO MEDITATION

He has often recalled his days when he was studying for his Government Interlocutor certification at the planet level. He preferred to study in a cool room sitting on a hard floor. After dinner he would take a short 26 minute nap using his PawPad as an alarm clock. The nap help burn off any excess carbohydrates that may cause him to be drowsy and cloud his sharp mind. Only then would he begin his studies.

The Cephus has stopped his ruminating long enough to direct the driver to take Highway 90 West toward Naples, Florida. He enjoys riding the Tamiami Trail. He will sit up front and watch the road for alligators and turtles. He will shout warnings to any he may see, even if they are far away form the highway. Being important is his joy.

He stays at an Inn on fifth in down town Naples. As the Cephus states it “The Inn on Fifth has Class”. Staying up as late as 7 PM, he will often hang out at “McCabe’s Irish Pub and Grill”. Beau eats until he is full and then begins to consume Tullamore Dew Single Malt as long as he can stand. There is always many songs to enjoy. Jerry is able to sing them all in that favorite voice Beau so enjoys. Beau can eat an entire small portion of the Dublin Slow Roast. He suggest that you stop by and enjoy a true Irish Pub and Grill.

BEAU WITH CLOSING EYES

We are getting closer to Naples and The Cephus is showing the effects of a long hard day. He is rubbing his eyes with his front ankles and will sleep soon.

I, Langston will await his awaking. Please have a day as pleasant as Beau The Cephus will enjoy.
